Living Finishes
All our finishes are living finishes. Uncoated by design, they are meant to evolve over time through touch, everyday use and exposure to the environment. Changes in tone, patina, and surface are natural and intentional, allowing each piece to develop a character unique to the space it inhabits. Patina is not a defect, but an intentional part of the design. Like time-worn jewelry, our hardware records the passage of time and use. The pace and character of this transformation depends entirely on handling and the surrounding environment, with no fixed timeline.
Over time, untouched areas will darken further, while frequent use will gradually reveal lighter brass tones beneath, just as with naturally aged and darkened brass. With heavy use, touched areas may also become smoother and more polished, creating a natural contrast between light and dark.
Care:
If the surface becomes wet or oily, dry immediately with a soft cloth. Do not polish or use detergents, as this may change the character of the finish.
